Wow! Welcome to March! Don't forget to participate in Read Across America events going on this week. Happy birthday to Dr. Seuss!
DIBELS
This is just a reminder that there are intervention activity packets in my office available for check-out. They are beside the door in a green crate with a green sign-out folder. Feel free to come by and check out anytime. These can be used by classroom teachers, assistants, or even volunteers. Let me know if you have questions.
Reminder - Friday, March 12th - Progress Monitor both Red and Yellow students
Friday, March 26 - Progress Monitor Red students
Staff Development
All K-2 teachers please sign-up to attend one of the afternoon DIBELS Data workshops being held in the auditorium at Central Office on the third floor. The dates are March 8th, 9th, 15th or 16th from 3:30-5:00. If you have questions let me know. You will not be required to attend any DIBELS staff development on March 30th.
Planning Days
Don't forget planning days are next week! I will submit those today and let you know when they are up and ready for registration. Don't forget to register and turn in your sheet to the office.
AR
Unfortunately the Fire Marshall was not a fan of our AR display this year. We will be taking it down soon and replacing it with something attached only to the bulletin board stripes.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We would like to paint a mural on a wall to use for our AR display from year to year. If you have any ideas for a theme or design please add them below in a comment or send me an email. Thanks for your help.
Winston-Salem DASH Reading Program
Second through fifth grade students are participating in a great reading incentive program and earning lots of cool prizes. Keep up the great reading! Make sure you are reading books within your ZPD and scoring at least an 80 percent or higher on each tests! When students reach a goal just email me their names and I will place the prizes in your box. Thanks for your help and support with this program.
