DIBELS
Please remember that your red students need to be progress monitored before we leave for Spring Break. Please plan to check out a Nokia and complete the appropriate assessments with those students. ALL progress monitoring must be done by the end of the day Monday, March 29.
Progress Monitoring Schedule:
Friday, April 9 - ALL Red & Yellow students
Friday, April 23 - ALL Red students
**Please keep the week of May 3 - 7 open because we will be doing the DIBELS EOY benchmark.** After the EOY benchmark we are finished with DIBELS until next year!!!!
EOQ Testing
K-2 Reminders:
1. Administer EOQ writing assessment by Monday, March 29 and trade papers to grade.
2. Administer EOQ math assessment by Monday, March 29.
3-5 EOQ Testing Schedule:
Monday - Wednesday: Reading/Math EOQ Testing
Thursday: Fifth grade only Science EOQ
Friday - Monday: Make-up Testing
AR
Students can read and test until the end of the day on Monday, March 29 to meet their third quarter AR goal. Please encourage students to work hard because the AR carnival is going to be a lot of fun! There will be various games including football toss, putt putt, face painting, snacks and even a BOUNCE HOUSE!!!! The AR carnival will be held on Friday, April 9 from 9-12.

DIBLES
Please remember if any of your red or yellow students were not progress monitored last week, they must be done by the end of today. I will come around and pull some students to help out this afternoon. Also, I have several sync cords missing! Please check your room and make sure you have returned all cords to my office. When you need a device, make sure to sign out your materials in the purple Nokia folder. Thanks for your hard work and cooperation!

Staff Development
All K-2 teachers please sign-up to attend one of the afternoon DIBELS Data workshops being held in the auditorium at Central Office on the third floor. The dates are March 8th, 9th, 15th or 16th from 3:30-5:00. Please bring your MOY class summary report and your PLL&W manual. If you have questions let me know. You will not be required to attend any DIBELS staff development on March 30th.
EOQ Testing
The end of third quarter is fast approaching, which means it is time to assess. You already have your writing assessment prompt and I will distribute math quarter tests as soon as they arrive. Our third through fifth graders will be involved in testing as follows:
Monday, March 22 - Wednesday, March 24 - Reading/Math EOQ Testing (3-5)
Thursday, March 25 - Science EOQ Test (5th grade only)
Friday, March 26 & Monday, March 29 - EOQ Make-up Testing

Planning Days
First and Second grade teachers, please don't forget to register for your planning days this week and evaluate them afterward to receive credit.

ACCESS Testing
Thankfully we are almost finished with ESL ACCESS testing! We are hoping to get ESL classes back on normal schedule by next week. This is a huge task because each one of our ESL students must be tested one-on-one. A big thank you goes out to our ESL team for their hard work. Thanks to the staff for your patience with this process.
DIBELS
Please remember this week is a big week! ALL RED AND YELLOW students must be progress monitored by Friday, March 12. If you need help please let me know and I can block out a time on either Thursday or Friday to come by and assist. If you have questions please let me know.

Wow! Welcome to March! Don't forget to participate in Read Across America events going on this week. Happy birthday to Dr. Seuss!
DIBELS
This is just a reminder that there are intervention activity packets in my office available for check-out. They are beside the door in a green crate with a green sign-out folder. Feel free to come by and check out anytime. These can be used by classroom teachers, assistants, or even volunteers. Let me know if you have questions.

Unfortunately the Fire Marshall was not a fan of our AR display this year. We will be taking it down soon and replacing it with something attached only to the bulletin board stripes.

Winston-Salem DASH Reading Program
Second through fifth grade students are participating in a great reading incentive program and earning lots of cool prizes. Keep up the great reading! Make sure you are reading books within your ZPD and scoring at least an 80 percent or higher on each tests! When students reach a goal just email me their names and I will place the prizes in your box. Thanks for your help and support with this program.
